CHAPTER 4: ISABELLA’S LAST PLAY

CHAPTER 4: ISABELLA’S LAST PLAY
Isabella Rossi was not naive.
Even in custody, she adapted.
Her lawyers arrived within hours.
So did her family.
So did a carefully crafted media narrative.
“She was provoked.”
“Emotional misunderstanding.”
“Social rivalry escalated.”
But none of it mattered.
Because the footage existed.
And worse—so did additional evidence.
Messages.
Recorded calls.
Weeks of calculated interference in Khloe and Marcus’s relationship.
By evening, Isabella was no longer in control of the story.
She was inside it.
And losing.
Still, she made one final attempt.
She requested to see Marcus.
Against legal advice.
Against logic.
He came anyway.
They met in a controlled visitation room.
She looked smaller now.
Less composed.
But still trying.
“You can fix this,” she said immediately. “You know me, Marcus. You know what really happened.”
Marcus didn’t sit.
He stood by the door.
“I know exactly what happened,” he replied.
Her voice sharpened.
“She will destroy you. That family will use you.”
“No,” Marcus said quietly. “You did that already.”
A long silence.
Then, softer:
“Why her?”
Isabella’s composure finally cracked.
“Because she had everything without fighting for it,” she whispered. “And I had to fight for everything and still wasn’t chosen.”
Marcus looked at her for a long moment.
Then turned away.
“You weren’t not chosen,” he said.
May you like
“You were never entitled to her life in the first place.”
And he left.
