Diane was convicted of:
Conspiracy to commit child endangerment.
Unlawful restraint of a minor.
Attempted fraud involving the proposed residence transaction.
Conspiracy to fabricate behavioral evidence.
False filing in the guardianship matter.
Witness/evidence manipulation tied to edited videos.
She was acquitted of one aggravated child-abuse count requiring proof she intended serious physical injury.
No serious bodily injury occurred from the haircut restraint.
Psychological harm was real but the charge required a specific statutory threshold.
She was acquitted of one direct fraud count involving Bright Path because Sabrina created and submitted some invoices herself and the prosecution failed to prove Diane approved every false line.
Mixed verdict.
Correct.
Diane sat still.
Then looked at me.
Not Grace.
Me.
I realized she still experienced the case as mother versus daughter.
That had been part of the problem all along.
Grace existed inside her conflict with me rather than as a separate person.
The trust court made final findings afterward.
Diane permanently barred from protector roles.
Sabrina permanently barred from care-adviser authority.
North Coast retained.
Independent co-protector remained until Grace was ten, then terms would be reviewed.
The Rosebridge proposal void.
Bright Path denied.
Grace’s assets protected.

Grace’s trust value increased substantially.
I did not celebrate.
