Chapter 11 - The Demon of Chicago

Outside the hospital, three black SUVs slammed through the emergency room glass doors, shattering the lobby barriers!

Giovanni Fierro stepped out of the lead vehicle.

He wore no coat—just a black silk shirt rolled up at the sleeves, revealing dense tattoos stretching up his arms. In his hands was an assault weapon. His eyes were pure, unadulterated fire.

Twenty Moretti mercenaries were scattered across the lobby and stairwell.

"GIOVANNI!" the Moretti captain shouted from the balcony, firing down into the lobby!

Giovanni didn't duck. He didn't flinch.

He moved through the lobby like an unstoppable storm of vengeance, taking down four mercenaries in three seconds! His men flooded behind him, clearing the ground floor with brutal efficiency!

"Where is my wife?!" Giovanni roared, his voice echoing off the hospital marble like thunder!

Within six minutes, the hospital was secure.

Giovanni kicked open the jammed doors of the fourth-floor service shaft, tearing the metal frame open with his bare hands alongside his guards!

He reached down into the dark elevator car, catching my hands and pulling me up into his arms!

I slammed against his chest, sobbing in relief, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck. "Giovanni! Oh God, Giovanni!"

May you like

Giovanni held me so tight I could barely breathe, burying his face in my hair, his body trembling with the adrenaline of a man who had almost lost his entire world.

"I have you," he growled into my neck, his voice breaking. "I have you, baby. You're safe. I'm never letting you out of my sight again."
