Chapter 15 - The Fullness of Tomorrow

One year later.

It was a warm summer evening on the terrace of our lakefront mansion.

A long dining table was set under twinkling fairy lights.

Giovanni sat at the head of the table, wearing a simple white shirt, holding our new three-month-old baby boy, Mateo Fierro, wrapped in a soft blue blanket.

Beside him sat six-year-old Lily, proudly showing her new drawing of our family to Sarah and Marcus, who were sitting across from us.

I walked out onto the terrace carrying a plate of fresh pasta, wearing a comfortable yellow sundress, my wedding ring glistening in the golden twilight.

I set the dish down, leaning over Giovanni’s shoulder to kiss his cheek, then stroked my newborn son’s soft dark hair.

"Everything perfect, my Queen?" Giovanni asked softly, looking up at me with those deep brown eyes that used to terrify the city.

I looked around the table—at my happy, healthy daughter, at our sweet baby boy, and at the man who had stepped out of the shadows to give me everything I had ever dreamed of.

"It's perfect, Giovanni," I whispered, holding his hand tightly. "Our story is finally complete."
