Gabriel walked into the office, setting a hot cup of black coffee on my desk.
"The board approved the hospital budget unanimously this morning, Elena," Gabriel said, leaning against the desk with a warm smile. "We begin site clearance next month."
"Thank you, Gabriel," I said, taking a sip of the coffee. "How are the numbers for the Sanctuary?"
"Fully funded for the next ten years," Gabriel replied. "Nico’s security firm has trained forty specialized protective agents for the residents, and Luca’s legal aid wing has already won ninety-two custody and asset recovery cases for women this year."
