Chapter 15 - The New HorizonSix months later.

Spring had arrived in Atlanta, bringing warm sunshine and blooming azaleas across the city’s grand estates.
Charlotte stood on the terrace of a brand-new community development center in east Atlanta—the Sterling Foundation Center for Women Entrepreneurs.
Using $20 million of her personal fortune, Charlotte had established a private incubator fund dedicated to providing non-dilutive seed capital, legal protection, and executive mentorship to women starting small businesses without institutional access.
A crowd of fifty inaugural fellowship recipients gathered on the lawn below, laughing and celebrating with their families.
Standing beside Charlotte on the terrace was Evelyn Grant, holding two glasses of champagne.
"The federal judge finalized Jonathan’s sentence yesterday afternoon," Evelyn said softly, handing a glass to Charlotte. "Seven years at the federal correctional facility in Montgomery, Alabama. His brother Chad received two years probation for un-reported offshore accounts."
Charlotte took a slow sip of champagne, looking out over the city skyline. "And Florence?"
"The family manor was foreclosed on last month," Evelyn replied. "She and Arthur have moved into a small rental apartment in rural Georgia. She doesn't go out much."
Charlotte nodded once, letting the news settle into the quiet breeze.
"Do you ever regret hiding who you were in Baltimore?" Evelyn asked gently, looking at her client and friend.
Charlotte looked down at her hands—hands that were free of expensive rings, yet held the power to shape thousands of lives.
"No," Charlotte said, a genuine, warm smile finally gracing her lips. "If I hadn't lived as Charlotte Davis, I would have spent my whole life wondering if anyone could love me without my money. Now I know that the wrong people love you for what you have... but the right people respect you for who you are."
She turned away from the terrace railing, setting her glass down on the iron table.

"Come on, Evelyn," Charlotte said, her eyes shining with quiet, brilliant purpose. "We have a foundation board meeting at two. I have a lot of dreams to fund."
She walked back into the bright, glass-walled conference room, stepping into a future that was entirely, undeniably her own.
