Chapter 23 - The Baby Monitor Archive

Leo was twenty-eight when court finally allowed destruction of certain evidence after retention periods expired.
Ethan asked him.
“Do you want copies?”
“No.”
“Sure?”
“Yes.”
“The legal report is enough.”
Ethan agreed.
The baby-monitor footage of Victoria’s incident and evidence planting was destroyed according to legal protocol after necessary records preserved as transcripts and case findings.
No private copy.
No sensational family archive.
Leo said:
“I don’t want future kids accidentally finding videos of me scared.”
Good.
The green light remained a family story, not footage.
Sarah felt relief.
Evidence had done its job.
Then she donated her old monitor? No.
No fetish.
Ethan kept only Amelia’s singing clip, because it was separate.
Leo asked for it.
He watched mother he barely remembered singing.
That was the video worth keeping.
Not fear.
