Chapter 9 - The Lobby Spectacle

The service elevator dinged, opening directly behind the grand lobby kitchen. The guards marched Julian and Chloe through the bustling culinary staff, who stopped chopping and stirring to stare at the man who had tormented them for years, now barefoot and pale.
They were pushed out into the main lobby.
It was 1:30 AM. The lobby was still populated by wealthy night owls, international VIPs, and the same staff members who had witnessed my expulsion.
As Julian was frog-marched across the Italian marble floors, a heavy, deafening silence fell over the room. People pulled out their phones. Camera flashes began to blind him.
"Stop recording!" Julian yelled, trying to shield his face. But the guards kept him moving, hauling him toward the massive revolving glass doors.

"Julian, do something!" Chloe cried, trying to hide her face in the collar of my cashmere coat.
But Julian could do nothing. He was tossed out into the freezing, pouring rain, slipping on the wet pavement. The heavy glass doors locked behind him with a final, satisfying click.
