Chapter 11 - The Reclaimed Throne

The glass tower of Vance Global Enterprises felt entirely different on Monday morning. The sleek, minimalist lobby was filled with towering arrangements of fresh orchids, and security guards stood at crisp attention as Elena Vance arrived in her silver custom wheelchair.

She was dressed in an impeccable cream silk blouse and charcoal tailored trousers, her long dark hair swept into an elegant knot. Beside her walked Thomas Wright, carrying three leather-bound briefing binders.

As Elena entered the corporate boardroom on the 40th floor, the entire board of directors stood up in unison. These were men and women who had spent years hiding behind Richard’s smooth assurances—now, they looked at Elena with a mixture of reverence and profound anxiety.

Elena rolled to the head of the dark mahogany table and took her place. She did not smile, nor did she linger on formal pleasantries.

"For three years, this company was run like a personal bank account for a pair of opportunistic grifters," Elena began, her voice calm, clear, and commanding. "Projects were delayed, charity pledges were quietly cancelled, and forty-three million dollars was siphoned out under your watch."

The board members shifted uncomfortably, avoiding her piercing dark eyes.

"Starting today," Elena continued, placing a single document on the table, "Vance Global returns to its original mandate. We are reinstating the full funding for our community housing initiatives, doubling our free health clinic outreach, and restructuring our executive board to enforce absolute transparency. Anyone who feels uncomfortable with this direction is welcome to submit their resignation by 5:00 PM today."

Not a single person moved.

Thomas smiled quietly from the corner of the room. The quiet heiress in the teal nurse's uniform was gone; in her place stood a formidable leader who carried the true bloodline of the Vance dynasty.
