Chapter 3 - The True Mistress"What is going on here?!" Thomas yelled, his voice cracking with sheer terror as he practically sprinted across the slippery marble floor.

Victoria turned to him with a confident, disdainful smile. "Thomas, thank goodness you're here. This vagrant snuck into the lobby and ruined the floors. I was just having security—"

Thomas didn't even look at Victoria. He threw himself down, dropping to his knees beside the woman in the teal uniform.

“Miss! Forgive us! Please, forgive us!” Thomas stammered, his hands shaking so violently he could barely grab the handles of the overturned chair.

Victoria froze, her smile instantly evaporating.

“Miss?” Victoria repeated, her brow furrowing in confusion. "Thomas, what are you doing? She's just a service worker!"

Ignoring her completely, Thomas carefully lifted the heavy wheelchair upright. With profound reverence, he offered his arm to the woman on the floor, helping her back into the seat as if the entire mansion, its land, and everyone inside owed her a desperate apology.

The murmurs among the guests vanished instantly. The socialites stepped back, sensing an abrupt shift in the atmosphere.

The woman in teal sat up straight, her uniform slightly rumpled, her expression calm despite the red mark forming on her elbow. She raised one hand and wiped a single tear from her pale cheek.

Thomas stood up, his face flushed with rage and absolute panic. He turned around to face the crowded room, his gaze locking onto Victoria with lethal fury.

“She owns this house,” Thomas declared, his voice echoing through the silent hall like thunder.

Silence descended upon the lobby. A champagne glass slipped from an investor's hand, shattering against the floor.

Victoria’s breath caught in her throat. "What... what did you just say?"

"This is Miss Elena Vance," Thomas said, taking a step toward Victoria. "She is the sole surviving heir of the Vance Estate, the owner of Vance Global Enterprises, and the absolute legal titleholder of this property. Your fiancé, Richard, is merely a hired project manager."
